RULES AND REGULATIONS

- Any 2-wheel drive ½ or ¾ ton truck. (no Blazers, SUV’s,
4x4’s, El Camino’s, or stake bed trucks, or crew cabs) IF in doubt
CALL!!!
- Remove all glass and flammable materials from inside the
truck (with the exception of the seat and the dash optional) No loose
debris in cab or box.
- Dash bar may be used if dash is removed. (3” diameter pipe
max. and a 1’ x 1’ plate on each end 1/8th thick!)
- All chrome and plastic trim to be removed.
- Must have working brakes.
- Radiators must remain in the stock position or completely
removed.
- No body lifts or suspension lifts permitted (no hockey
pucks allowed)
- Batteries MUST be moved inside of the cab on floor of
passenger side and must be completely covered and secured to floor. NO
MILK CRATES!
- The stock gas tank must be removed and an aftermarket gas
tank (5 gallon max.) and DOT approved must be secured in the center of the
box and as close to the cab as possible. If an electric fuel pump
is used, it must have a kill switch clearly marked. All gas
tanks must be covered and shielded with metal. No stock tanks allowed!!
- Hoods must have a 12” hole cut out.
- All trailer hitches and assemblies must be removed.
- Double tires are allowed. NO foreign objects inside of
tire, NO studs, Tires will be no bigger then 16” inches. NO split rims.
- Suspension must be stock. NO welding of shocks or blocking
allowed.
- Bumpers must remain stock!! They may be cut but no sharp
edges. No push bars or grille guards allowed. Truck Bumpers only!!
- No welding or reinforcing the frame of any sorts.
- All holes in firewall larger than 2” must be covered.
- Tranny cooler are allowed but must be under hood.
- Rear ends may be welded.
- NO fiberglass seats allowed.
- You can cut the steering column and install u-joint
connections.
- Any exhaust that extends thru the hood MUST
point straight up!!
- Beds: Factory beds only. No wooden beds, steel flat beds,
or dump beds allowed. Bed may be welded to cab with a MAX of 4 pieces of
1/8th thick and 3” wide and 6” long steel per side (extending
no further than three inches onto either the cab or the bed). No
additional reinforcements to hold bed on.
- Hoods and tailgates must be wired shut. 6 places of # 9
wired that are double stranded. 4 places sheet metal to sheet metal and 2
place around bumper!! (NO WELDS ON THE HOOD OR TAILGATE!!)
- All doors must be either wired, chained, or welded shut.
If welded, steel no wider than 3” and no thicker than 1/8”. Drivers’ door
may be reinforced on the inside of the truck!!
- Body mount may ONLY be altered as such: a total of 2
washers per side with a 3” maximum diameter
of washer size allowed!! (3/4” maximum blot size)

FULL-SIZE TRUCK RULES AND REGULATIONS
The Roney Motorsports Demolition Derby is promoted as an
unusual spectator attraction. In the interest of safety, anyone entering is
subject to, and must obey ALL rules and regulations which are set up by the
promoter and county fair where this event is being held:
- Each driver must fill out an entry blank with Social
Security Number. All drivers must supply their own vehicle.
- Each driver must be 16 years old!!
- The fair board or promoter reserves the right to approve
or reject any entry.
- Only drivers, pitmen, owners, etc. who sign the release form
will be permitted in the pit area. Driver’s only allowed onto the track
area. Extra pit passes may be purchased.
- Must be 16 years old to be allowed onto the pit
area.
- The promoter, track owner, or fair board will not be held
responsible for any cars, parts, or personal property before, during and
after the event.
RUNNING:
- Safety belt, helmet (full face recommended), and goggles
or face shield are required.
- Neck braces are highly recommended.
- Fire suits are recommended.
- No hitting of the drivers door.
- Vehicles must have dependable brakes at all time.
- No drinking of alcoholic beverages and the grounds. Any
driver or pitman under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be
immediately disqualified.
- A vehicle will be disqualified if the driver’s door comes
open or catches fire.
- One-minute time limit on AGGRESSIVE HITS. NO SANDBAGGING.
- All vehicles must be removed the night of the event from
the fair grounds.
- $100 protest fee required to contest another car.
- Fire extinguishers are recommended at drivers reach.
- Drivers are responsible for the actions of their
crewmembers.
- The vehicle qualifies for the feature, not the driver!!
These rules supercede any, and all rules previously used.
Rules subject to change without notice according to Roney Motorsports L.L.C. demo-derby
committee. The decisions of the judges are FINAL!!

The rules and/or regulations set herein are designed to
provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum
acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall serve the conditions
of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are
deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF
SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM THE PUBLICATION OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND
REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sports and are
in no way a guan tee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or
official.
The race director shall be empowered to permit minor
deviation from any of the specification herein or impose any further
restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptance
requirement. NO expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from such
alteration or specifications. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is
left to the discretion of the officials and the Fair Boards.
